[QUOTE=Blueridge boyieee;383514]Nutcracker, 1300 miles, good on you. I’m at 740 so far. How many miles did you get out of the factory rubber? Thought I saw you mention a tire swap.

I got just shy of 1000k miles on my rear tire. Replaced it with Motoz Tractionator Desert HT.

I purchased the bike for a 90% dirt bike but I've ran it 70% on the hwy. It's just a good platform for Enduro. It's a blast far better than I thought a 2k China bike could be. The 6 speed is stacking up to be even a much better dual-sport bike platform. Hope PSM stays with this Zummva manufacturer.

Does the X have the same exhaust?

Is there a quieter china rider? Hawk or tbr7...
Stock muffler on the TempX is not loud.

And Nutcracker that Tractionator is a gnarly looking tire. Really grippy looking tread.

So far I’m really impressed with the new model. Feeling the need to pick one up before the fuel injection is ubiquitous. At the moment I’m smitten with the super light weight of the base model.

AjjAxx84, that’s exactly what I wanted to do. Pads, rotors and air cleaner, I went thru Amazon message to contact them and they wanted part numbers. Would you please PM me the contact info? I have the part numbers of the pads, the rotor I’m assuming would need to be mic’d. Thanks.

The new 2022-1/2, 6 speed version of the TempX gets a beefier luggage rack.
I didn't bust out the micrometer, but just used open end wrenches- 15mm wrench fits over the steel tubing on the old rack (5 speed model), and 17mm wrench fits over the new rack.

And there is a SIDE MOUNT PLATE (with a hole for a bolt) on the new rack as well. I haven't come up with a way to use this yet, but a soft luggage side support system, maybe a trunk mount on top. There is also passenger footpegs to use for luggage mounting. Those footpegs are absent on the 5 speed version, but the mounting post are there, so footpegs can be added on the 5sp version of TempX.

Check out this rear rack setup. Looks like the same setup mounting system on the new 6 speed.

Well the link doesn't work just Google "Factory Direct Sales ZUUMAV X7-CB250F China new style Enduro Motorcycles Racing Dirt Bike with Rear Rack Version".. Shows the rear rack system.

Finally pulled the trigger on a new Templar X. Any assembly advice? What motor oil should I have on hand?

YUP. Look at that!
I will copy pics and talk to Zora about getting the rack.

That turns it into "adventure tour" .

I wonder what bags they've made for or paired it with?

Anyone know if the exhaust has a cat in it
I assume it does like most others. If so wondering which header pipe can be found to replace it online or if anyone has cut it out yet

Rack for X7-CB250F (Templar X)

Here it is. I've asked PSM if they can get this for us. See Nutcracker post #636 above!

Is anyone lock-tighting the rear axle nut? I had the axle nuts loosen up on my Titan and had to drill holes in them to use a cotter pin as a safety measure. I know that the front axle has the 4 pinch bolts so that is a safety measure there but the rear doesn't and im skeptical. thanks

I have not. This hasn't been an issue on the TempX as far as I know. I don't overtighten, but it doesn't loosen. Same has been true on the Storm.

The nut has a nylon lock ring, but I don't know why the Titan would have an issue here. I know you've had problems with this. You solved it with a locking cotter pin. I haven't done many long rides, but many short rides without rear axel service of any kind, and it isn't loosening. I do keep an eye on these things though. I rode 30-40 miles at highway speeds and felt that rimlock causing a balance issue (it is not a road bike!!). Having experienced road rash a few times (!) times over 40 years on 50 motorcycles (no kidding), I have become much more careful and observant.

I know this bike is Enduro, but installing/removing this rack is a 20 minute or less process, and this is a counterbalanced engine. I will remove the rimlocks and maybe even get the wheels balanced. So my 5 speed will be the enduro, and my new 6 speed will be the adventure tourer. Personally, my idea of an adventure tour bike doesn't mean 500+ pounds to lift if I fall over on the "adventure". This bike could be perfect!

Thanks guys.. but i didn't want to take any chances.. one wheel falling off experience is enough for me. Took care of both axles.

Fuel injection should be better but is it ?
Are there other problems beside cost with the FI?

thank you
