I am thinking so to. It looks like it uses a AC to DC transformer so I should be able to run it off a battery. I don't want to run a long cord to the coop.

In that case, an old power window or wiper motor would do. It would just be a matter of fabricating a pulley.

I think that the drill will work. I already have them. I would like to have a photocell to activate it.

I found the cordless drills that can be donated for door openers.

We worked on one end. Large door for coop cleaning.


We got another tractor today. Will start a new thread since I think its a keeper.

We got the chicks today. Fifteen Rhode Island Reds.

I need to finish the coop up so that its ready for them to inhabit.

They don't get furloughed either. They are all still alive this morning.

Took me awhile to get their box to the right temp.

The parking lot at the local feed store here was packed. Little girls and boys runniing around happy. Yeppers. Chicks on sale here too now!
