Spud, Briana was driving and I took the video. Kart is running good. I have the shift cable adjusted almost all the way to keep it in forward gear. I think that I am going to make a lockout that will hold the shift lever in forward.

The chain "adjustment" worked. Still had some popping noise when doing donuts. I think a new chain and some more cutting on the adjuster is needed. I believe that the stock engine mounting is not really adequate. I have some ideas to improve it.

Awesome vid! It looks like the buggy really sccots along well. Are the yellow clutch springs and large yellow spring meant to work as a system, like a colour code? In your research, what other rpm engagement ranges did you find? Does it work well with you in it?

The yellow was the recommended color. They make a red that is even higher engagement. That would be for hill climbing.

Went out tonight so we could pull the sled in the snow. The throttle cable snapped. I think it froze. Rigged a temporary one and got some sledding done.

Yes, the yellow springs come together as a package. The stronger large torque spring is to force it into the downshift position faster.

Do you find that the sliders allow a little higher rpm?

The sliders seem to work well. I didn't really get a chance to compare, but in my opinion it seems to have a good top end. I don't think it lost any.

If you are going to work on the new ATV I suggest taking the clutch pulley apart and cleaning out the old grease and installing new quality grease. I didn't do it on the buggy and now the cold weather is making it sticky until it gets warmed up.

Next I want to change sprockets. I think a tooth less on the engine or a few teeth more on the axle.

I'm thinking that I also want to bump up rpm engagement to compensate for those tall tires.
