I would certainly never buy from Superior Power Sports. I am pleased to be spoiled by the unparalleled customer service I receive from California Scooter Company (CSC).

Weren't they about the last seller with a fairly decent recent rep? Barlow, I think, got good service there....running out of acceptable Bashan sellers.

All these retailers are mostly in it for the fast profit (not that there is anything wrong with profit, that's a good thing) . I think when the going gets tough ,these cats find out it was not as easy as they thought, so they take the slow road of death which we are probably witnessing with this superior power sports. I wonder if a good indicator of a retailer is not to see who has the lowest price, but how long they have been in business (yes, Im guilty of lowest price grabbing). But I also bought from the awesome retailer like https://www.rockymountainatvmc.com on the good word of Mr spud.today as well, found what I liked and didn't shop it, may have found it cheaper but i took into accou t that they they have a good return policy too!

I'm tellin' ya.... I'm really balking on ordering my next quad from them but I'm not sure if any of the "big box websites" are really any better.
Call Excalibur--find the quad/bike you want, and call them. They are a California-licensed dealer, and about 2 miles from Taotao's Chino, Calif. warehouse. The literally pick up what you order and mail it out themselves (rather than drop-ship). MCO is sent out pronto, as well.

BTW--Excalibur just shipped out their first...Hawk (sorry 2LZ/other Californians since the Hawk is not CARB friendly). it went to one of their dealers as opposed to an end customer, but they are licensed as a retailer as well, so Hawks can be bought through them. Funny, enough, they used RPS's S. Calif. warehouse as opposed to drop shipping from Dallas. I will probably get my Hawk through them...

Where is the VIN on the Hawk? My MCO has nothing on it either. Just got my Hawk, let us know how your plate turns out so I can get mine too.

Contact your seller and ask them to provide an MCO for you. I had a blank one shipped as well. I was told they don't provide them filled in unless requested because so many just use them off-road and never title them.

Also be sure to request that they classify the body type as MOTORCYCLE. mine originally read DIRT BIKE / OFF-ROAD.

Lastly, request that they notarize the back. you may have to pay them extra for that, so don't be surprised if they mention a fee for it.

I was informed one of the reasons the bikes don't come with the paperwork filled out is because if someone was to intercept and steal the bike before it arrived at its destination they would basically have everything they needed to claim the bike belongs to them.

I believe that is correct.

latest update. I sent the paperwork off to SD. they received it on Friday and I got an email from them late in the day to contact them on Tuesday to arrange for payment. With the return envelope I included, I hope to have plates before the end of next week. we'll see!
