Here is a 192cc, but it is only a 2 valve head. I believe that I can probably keep up with freeway traffic with this.

The DOHC kit. Here is the real cost. I could be a real nice CT70 instead.

I wonder how stable the little bike will be at those speeds?

At $1,999.95, I'm not ever going to find out. I'm a China Rider.

I don't think I want to find out past about 50-55mph. That to me seems like the upper limit on 10" wheels. About like a 150cc scooter.
The 125cc is suppose to be able to achieve that level.

Right on, if I use mine for commuting next year I should need anything over 80km/h max, most is under 70km/h... Not sure when mine will be done, or how the 70 will do.

I think you should be able to attain those speeds. Maybe just swapping sprockets. They are geared low for off road use.

Not sure what to do with the registration and insurance then? And then it definitely won't qualify for collector plates..

I think all you have to do is report to ICBC that you've repowered it. They might ask you to have it inspected, but I doubt it. They'll change the classification on the regi to reflect that it's a 125. It's the same as if you dropped a 350 into an S-10.
Yeah, collector plates won't be an option after that, unless you qualify for modified collector. There is now a provision for old cars that are running non-original motors.

They don't even ask here. I will qualify for antique plates too. No inspections either.
Now you can find cylinders that don't have the cc stamp and some that are marked wrong.

Yeah, we could probably be stealthy about it around here, but I choose to play it straight up. I don't need any insurance hassles.

The insurance company asks me. I will tell them is a 125 even though the vin says 70. The cost is the same for me. The tag office just wants what the vin says.

Yeah I'm not too worried about it... I'll have to wait till it's going to see how I feel about it at 70...
I don't think it would make a huge cost difference here either, except being exempt from the collector status, modified may work.

If a person were to buy a pit bike with a 125 cc motor to swap into a trail 70, would the 125 have a lighting coil to charge the battery and run the lights? Would other parts be needed?
