I wish I had a garage, just to be able to give the bike a good one over.

Thanks Ron for showing details of the anatomy. To this point I have only seen generic side views.

Dpl, when you are taking photos of your newborn this wwk, get a couple of tight shots of the cooling system for me.

Thanks have been enjoying the education. Talk about distance learning.

Blackbike, Ron...

my bike's fuel level has been off. It tells me it's getting to empty at only 130 miles. When my husband and I do the 500 mile service this Saturday, we are going to adjust that. We were hoping to have it done on Memorial day, but just never had the time. We'll take some pictures and share them as well.

Mad;
Same here. I'm doing to do mine at the 500 servicing.
Additionally I've noted my speedo is off about 6 mph at 50 mph on the GPS. I believe that is within the ballpark of what others have experienced.

madsocial and Ron, I did both the 13 tooth and bent my tank sender wire.

I saw that vid someone did that is linked here somewhere (in a foreign language) but he said to bend it to 30mm off the workbench when you're standing the sender on its butt. I bent mine to 35mm, to buy a few extra miles. I didn't bend it all the way down to the base like others here. I'll check back in with info when the light comes on. I may end up bending it further, down the road.

You're going to like the 13 tooth sprocket.....

No I didn't. The bike came with both extra sprockets and I only put the 13 on the countershaft. Unless I'm going to be doing a bunch of trail riding, I'm just going to leave it as is for a while. Just changing to the 13 cured the symptoms I wanted cured, and still kept some decent top end speed.

I got it back together last night and even bending the float wire down to 35mm (from a measured 65mm), the light was STILL on! I'm going to bend it down to the base, like everyone else next time I have the tank off.
