The cylinder bore and piston diameter are the same - 82mm for the big bore kit or 77mm for the stock cylinder and piston. The head just has a domed area where the air/fuel mixture is compressed. It's probably a little less efficient having the lip there, but we're talking fractions of a horsepower. Nowhere near enough so to offset the added power from a bigger piston.
