Possums not only have a face like a rat, they have a long, hairless tail like a rat. Also, even when it is clean, their fur looks dirty. They are unattractive, ill-tempered animals. I'm sure the "found poster" was a joke. I seriously doubt anyone would ever mistake an opossum for any kind of cat, domestic or otherwise.

On the other hand they are very interesting Creations that doubtless fill some important role in the ecosystem, although I don't know what that is offhand.

They are survivors, and the only marsupial on this continent that I know of. They have some interesting and unique behaviors, including playin 'possum.

I like them.

I don't dislike 'possums. Indeed, they are interesting creatures. However, they are not attractive, and you don't want to mess with them, unless they are "playing 'possum."

They are not attractive to me either, although I suspect we don't look very good to them either.

I don't like rats, and 'possums greatly resemble rats when you see them up close, and personal.

As always, thanks for posting the great photos, OG! I forget; do they use glass beads to complete the "mosaics?"

This is another example how different the climate can be in different parts of the world. In East Idaho, no one would ever consider using flower petals for that purpose. The wind would quickly blow everything away. Are the flower petals glued in place?

Spud, the petals are just laying there, if the wind came up they would be gone. Kato, I was also wondering also how he was going to get out of there.

New toy, on the left.

Samsung Tab 2 that Mrs. Cheesy got me for my b'day. Basically, my Samsung phone on steroids that doesn't make phone calls. One of the nicer things about it is that I have all my Kindle books synced to it. Also synced to about 90% of the apps I have on my phone.*

*Kindle books are on the phone, too, but they are easier to read on the Tab.
