Son of Weldangrind loved Doc's CB175. He couldn't stop grinning.

I like that TW, but the Twinstar is also appealing.

I like the Twinstar, TW200, and the Nighthawk.

The twinstar would be really easy to maintain. Single carb unlike the twin carbs of the cb. Likely just needs the carb cleaned and some new plugs.

The twin carbs are very much a PIA to calibrate. Indeed mine are out of synch and likely to stay that way...

I would put the twin star high on the list. The price was not too bad.

It's at the top! If I'm able to afford it, I will get it! I hope I can manage it soon, I'd hate to see another great deal pass me by. . .

You may be able to get them to come down on that price. Check the tires for age.

The good thing about CL (in a major metro area) is that there will always be another good deal, when you're ready.

It is a wonderful thing indeed.
I also plan to get some newspapers to scour the classifieds. . .

Thoughts? I don't know much about this bike, aside from generalized reviews. Anyone here know any more about it?

Don't know much about that specific model, but it's a twin shock, so it's suitable for a brat-style project.

I'd simply gut the thermostat and use it as a restrictor. Don't remove it completely, or coolant will not have sufficient time in the rad to properly cool.

At that price (with a title), I'd play with it. Maybe he'll come down in price. Start by asking him to explain where you might find spare parts. When he stumbles on the answer, the price should drop.

I don't think its too bad. That bike has a cvt. Pretty much a scooter engine in motorcycle body.

I think this is the type of engine.

Interesting. I didn't pick up on that. I'd much rather have an air cooled manual shift.

It would make a nice commuter ride in traffic with the style of a motorcycle.

Still lots of potential there.
