That bike has struck a nerve! So many are starved for a small adventure bike that isn't absurdly priced, I really hope this bike turns out well.

interesting comparisons between the CFMoto and RE. Also the Kove 450 as well. Kove more dirt oriented, CFMoto more ADV oriented. RE seems to fit in the middle. Have not seen pricing yet. us CB types need to know how cheap they are, right?

I believe the CFMOTO is about 6500, good price if there isn't any dealer nonsense.

Yep, the article mentioned $6500, haven't done any further digging online to confirm that but it sounds about right when compared to the MSRP of the Ibex 800

The new RE 452 is radically different than the current model. I think they're going to triple their sales of the Himalyan. It's a better bike in every way.

The himmy 450 is about $500 cheaper than the CF Moto 450 here in Australia base listed pricing. both under $10k

I have no doubt the himmy 450 will sell, But for me the aesthetics look a bit off and I'd rather have the 270* parallel twin engine of the 450MT.

However the price difference between the old himmy 411 and 452 is so minor that getting the new model seems a no brainier...IF the choice was Royal Enfield only

However If I might find a GF/partner and 2up is on the cards then the choice might be different...

I get it looks is always subjective. I was saying they're going to triple the sales of the 452 Himalyan compared to the 411 Himalayan. I wasn't trying to disparage other bikes but I get my post can be read that way.

I agree the older 411 needs a drastic price cut....but then it would cut into the 411 scram sales, so RE painted themselves into a corner on that.

There might be a significant amount of used himmy411s getting traded in for the 452 upgrade so if you're in the used bike market there might be some decent old himmy deals going around too...

It cracks me up that these bikes are called "Adventure" motorcycles. Meanwhile, I can not find a "Standard" motorcycle to save my life. I had the pleasure of looking at a 2017 Kawasaki KLR 650. I see a tall, standard motorcycle with bark busters. Am I missing something? Suspension, right? smh

Side note, said KLR650 has an asking price of $4700. Is that a good price for this bike? 6841 miles on it.

I mean I can't help you with seeing a KLR as a standard as I can't think of much including the riding position that is similar BUT as to your pricing. That seems very high. It is of course dependent on location but KLRs in the PNW of the US in good condition go from around $1500-$4k. Good luck on your search.
