At the risk of sounding like "CSC Joe", I think it might be the perfect real world adventure bike!

Given my intended missions for this bike, I am becoming less inclined to quickly convert to a larger rear wheel. I think I'll ride the bike for a while, and assess my needs before I make a final decision.

However, I do hope CSC imports some 50/50 tires in size 130/90-15. In particular, I like the CST C7208, and the Zongshen ZS200GY-2 tread patterns.

There is a wide selection of 18-inch rubber available for the front wheel.

Thank you, Joe. Make sure I get an orange bike, since orange is the fastest color.

Orange is the fastest? Guess I'm glad I'm on the list for an orange one also! It would be interesting to have a poll to see who signed up for what color.

That's an excellent suggestion. I created the poll at the following link. Please do vote, and choose your favorite color.

We actually have that info. I'll try to remember to take a look at it on Tuesday and put together a pie chart. It's interesting...whatever color bike I showed on the CSC blog (www.CaliforniaScooterCo.com/blog), we'd get orders predominantly in that color for the next several days.

All of the colors are beautiful. I like the orange best and that's the color I ordered. The blue and the red are stunning, too. I haven't seen the white one yet. Many of the visitors to our CSC Open House said the photos do not do the bikes justice; they look much better in person.

Our thanks go out to all of you who attended the Open House and to those who called in to get on the "Don't Miss The Boat" program. I think folks will be talking about the deal we are getting on these bikes for years to come.

And remember...the first big ride is to see the whales and other sights in Baja!

Figure on a 5-day trip, expenses of maybe $500, and the adventure of a lifetime. I've got a lot of info posted on www.motofoto.cc on the forays into Baja, and I know the Cyclone will be perfect for that kind of riding.

Who's in?

Both the Zongshen ZS200GY-2 and the new, Zongshen RX3 have a size 130/90-15, rear tire. Street tires in this size are readily available, but knobby tires in this size are completely unavailable in North America.

CSC, which is importing the Zongshen RX3 to North America, has stated it will import a knobby tire for Zongshen RX3 owners. I have found three knobby tires which can be imported from China. I have created a poll at the following link. Please choose which tire you would like to see imported. If you wish, you can vote for more than one tire.

when you guys get it all sorted and the bike becomes a real hit in the states, someone in australia will jump on the bandwagon and import the RX3. then bugger it up by asking way too much money

hopefully that's too pessimistic

That looks like an alloy link for a change. All of my China bikes have heavy, steel links.

That is a puzzle. Perhaps there is supposed to be a tube that links both sides, allowing you to operate it from one side. It wouldn't be the first incorrect Taobao pic.

Those forks look really good in an aluminum colour. I always found the gold anodizing to be kind of garish.
