Where'd you buy it from, if the dealer changed the oil it should be fine.

If it still has the stock spark plug I would change that to an NGK.
Check all the nuts and bolts, other than that enjoy the ride.
Congrats to ya.

I just rode the crap out of mine But I'm not a mechanic.

As far as deciding, that's completely up to you, I have a sport bike, a cruiser, and a dual sport, the only chinese one is the dual sport. I think it's great because it is versatile and good for whatever you want, you can go in the trails and logging roads, but you can still use it on the road, the other 2 are more limited where they can go, unless your crazy or just don't care

zapkin, if you are going to wheeling cycles they do change the oil to yamalube but as far as grease ,loc-tite, or anything else on the prep thread you are on your own that includes the sparkplug.at least that was my expieriance with them. also don't buy a plug from them go to a parts store my ngk plug was like $6.

thanks pumpkin..that is indeed who I am going to purchase from. I think for an added fee they will do some additional prep for me. i talked with the guys there and they seem like good people i just wish i could afford some of their more expensive bikes. i am basically gonna use this one to get back and forth from martins ferry Ohio to west liberty state college. gonna save a fortune on gas but probably either kill myself on ice or die of hypothermia for the first couple months. hehe. oh well....

I took mine out for a few, 15 minute rides, then let it cool. It was good cause at that time I needed the practice. After that I rode it like I stole it. Just the way I did it.

I haven't bought anything from them yet, but I'm placing an order Monday.
Wind/waterproof INSULATED Jacket:

Pants:

and a large tailbag that converts to a daypack... (I'm in school too, this tailpack is just the ticket for books)

The prices are killer and I've heard good things about the quality. I might order the saddlebags too.

I hope that you don't need any parts for that new bike! At least if you buy the Lifan, Bruce will be able to get them for you!

Get you parts from Bruce. He will help you with anything.

Careful riding in the winter too.

I warmed up my bike and just rode it. Change the oil after about 100 miles and then you should be good to go.
