Mine's a 2006 model with only 1,650 miles when I bought it. It's clean and runs good, no leaks until I dropped it going up my driveway. I was just a newbie who simply panicked. The leak is near the oil drain bolt.

Wedangrind, I'm not into mods so I plan to ride it as is. The only thing I might change is the exhaust pipe which came wrapped when I bought the bike.
The ground hypnotizes riders and leads them to their demise. HEADS UP!

That should be your priority, replacing with known new oil. Look for motorcycle branded or with JASO-MA . You can do your own research on "best oil" till your cross-eyed and blue in the face the shell Rotella t6 synthetic should work nicely. About $20 a gallon on special at the walleye world.

Humanbeing, miles vs km, it crossed my mind and now, I will find out for sure

Blackbike, I'm usually ok on the road but entering the garage with my wife's parked car inside got me approaching with hesitation :(

May leak (5W = too thin when cold) & ended as http://www.chinariders.net/showthrea...t=16425&page=5 hassle in old bike. I'm a true 15W40 believer for such old design (1980s) ...

A neat trick when coming in for landing is to find neutral, kill the motor, and coast to a stop in silence Also kind of sneaky.
