Got the saddlebags installed last night. Easy install. I'll install the alarm tonight. Crash bars are on there way. The dealer ordered the extended reach seat for me yesterday at no extra cost to me. I felt like i needed to scoot back about an inch. I also found out that the extended reach seat has a gel pad seat so it will be even more comfortable.

Those bags flow perfectly with the lines of the bike. Looks like they have plenty of storage too.

Yes they do. That's what.i like about the Viking bag site. You can see exactly what they look like on your exact bike before you buy them. They do have plenty of storage space.

Great looking bike, Jerry. It would have been right at home at the LoneStar Rally on Galveston Island today and yesterday. Mostly Harleys, but the Metric Cruisers are well represented here.
Your Vulcan looks much better than the earlier Vulcan 500s. They were plenty fast, with a Ninja 500 engine, but the styling left a little to be desired.

I've been getting lots of compliments on the bike. It was strange that most people didn't know about or seen the Vulcan s. I'm really liking this bike even more every time I ride it. I spent about 3 hours in the saddle today. I would have no problem taking this one on a long trip. Once I get the extended reach seat it will be even better.

The bling and accessories are always the best part of a new bike to me. I was just as excited to buy my Corbin seat or my Throttlemeister bar ends as I was the VFR itself lol. Congrats on the new sled Jerry. It's nice being able to do highway speeds AND be able to pass people at a pace faster than a glacier.

I agree Dan, I spend way too much on the bling as I’m sure we all do but boy it’s fun while it lasts!

I just ride by Kentucky Windage and call it good.
Funny thing also. We have three of those CHP trailers parked around here that are supposed to tell you how fast you're going. None of them are the same!

it's anywhere from 3-5 mph off. The faster i go, the farther off it gets. I would like to have it a little closer. I hate doing math while trying to relax riding.

Nah, just leave it that way when you get pulled over you can blame the Speedo for being off, I’m sure the police will let you slide on the technicality

Well I found out something interesting today. I was going to order the SpeedoDRD on ebay. Just for the heck of it i went to Aliexpress and did a search for a speedometer calibrator. Low and behold I found what looks to be identical to the SpeedoDRD for $45. Even the instructions were the same. Makes me wonder if this is where SpeddoDRD gets them from then prints made in the USA on the instruction sheet.

So in the true Chinariders spirit I ordered one and will wait the extra time and save a few buck. lol

I ran here to vote for the S. Great choice.

That motor will make 80hp fairly easily. JE makes 13.5:1 pistons for it. There are a few 700cc kits out there.
