Tell them you had(or rented) a vacation home up there and you no longer have it.

Yeah I think NJ might actually be worse then CT as far as bureaucracy. I'm leaving CT and taking my money with me to NH. CT will soon be Detroit. I used to love CT now it is unbearable.

Just kick or push start it... This bike uses AC-CDI
E-start w/o relay = At ur own risk... Those sparks are HUGE...
1 of the experiment by a mechanic. GN125 uses TCI. When there's no reliable DC supply <battery fail/ stolen...> = Stunned in nowhere even push started it ... A capacitor is the saviour...)

i d try to set her up the way the diagram says, ie with battery. i dont think they run w/out battery. or capacitor. but that s another step, to replace batt with capacitor.
have u tested the new loom for continuity?
meantime, wire her according to the book. make sure you have good grounds from neg batt terminal to frame and bottom or rear of engine. without those it s useless.

as for cdi, you need the zong200 cdi - yamaha200TW won t work - other cdi s wont work - this has been established. if it is 2nd hand it may be dead. some last, some dont, it s a kinda weak spot in those bikes.
hope you can get it sorted! great solid bike, bit heavy, but pretty good once you strip excess weight.

of course an entire yam200TW electrical system could be transferred, but i don t think anyone has done that here. when spudrider put a TW230 motor in his zong, he used the zong stator.
