You've got a very good looking bike.
I've not really done any modifications to mine. Did wrap the exhaust, I know it's not for everyone but I think it fits the bike. And I agree the exhaust on the bike sounds good, got a nice low rumble to it.

I rode to work this morning, and put the choke all the way down and wow I could tell a difference immediately. So thank you for that information!

Like that white. First one I have seen. Maybe someone here will buy a red one. Oh I did change the turn signals which I would not do again.
Any trouble registering your DF?

I originally wanted the black, but I'm pretty satisfied with the white.
The only registration problems I had was because they sent me the tittle with the wrong year.... So after another week I was able to get it registered with no further problems. Did you have any registration issues?

Honestly any negative issues I've had with the bike are more to do with the company I received it from.
Wrong tittle
Only received 2 of 4 mirrors
No user/owners manual

My speedometer broke in the first month, but the company is so bad they ignored me for the next two months in order to run out my limited warranty. The worst customer service I've ever experienced.
So I tell everyone I recommend the DongFang but to stay away from RedFoxPowerSports. (Hope it's ok to put up the name, really want to warn people away from them.)

Fine with me to name a poor seller.

I don't remember have any problems registering my DF. Bought mine here https://www.belmontebikes.com/collec...13650188468290

I lost the left side cover somewhere so ordered another from them. Probably my fault. It arrived from China in a month or so. I drilled a hole in it at the bottom and zip tied it so it hopefully won't be lost again.

I received the four mirrors but didn't use them as I had some better bar end mirrors in my junk box.

Fixing to head to the Dragon for a run before the rains start.

Thanks for posting that page. I think I might try to see if Belmontbikes can get me a copy of the manual. I assume you had to order your replacement side panel from them?

The manual is kinda of a generic one. Not worth a lot of effort to get it in my opinion. It was for a different model of Dong Fang with the same 165fmm CB125 clone engine. There are videos on Youtube to do all the maintenance on the DF.

Belmont ordered the panel I lost and it came in the mail from China.

Does my DF makes me look fat or is it the riding suit? LOL That is one of the Honda riding suits from back in the 1990's and still in good shape. 30 years old.

The DF is a blast to ride here in the mountains of WNC/ETN. It has enough juice.

My DF ($1800) is dwarfed by a Honda Rune ($20,000) and a Kawasaki Concours 14 ($13,000) at the Deal's Gap Motorcycle Resort at the start of the Dragon on the North Carolina side.
Guess which one gets the most questions?

Not knocking the big bikes as they will eat up the miles in comfort and speed.

The bike looks a lot smaller than I thought it was. But know it was just as much fun if not more than the big bikes. One of these days I'll make it up that way and ride the Dragon.

Jerry,
Yep it is small but also nice and lightweight.
I thought you were coming to the Dragon?
I am in SW Florida (family funeral) and will be back in motorcycle mecca by Sunday. I will be there until late October.

Selling my Royal Enfield with Cozy sidecar so might put a light weight sidecar on my DF.

Too much going on around the house right now. I am planning on taking a vacation towards the end of September. Should be nice and cool by them.
A side car on that little bike will look great.

I do not understand why the VERY popular Dual Sport bikes in the USA run the CG motor (cheaper older design less power) yet this bike runs a CB OHC engine, so they must meet EPA or regulation?
If anything the CG is a retro old design and the CB is a slightly more modern and wee bit more powerful engine better suited to off road.

You guys sure get some weird stuff States side

CB is older than CG. The CG was designed after they discovered that running the cam in plain bearings (à la CB) would cause them to destroy themselves quickly, thus the CG was developed. cf. https://global.honda/heritage/episodes/1975cg125.html

Sorry for the threadjack.
