Poor mileage Broz 250
I have been trying to get some miles on my new broz this winter. Just had to switch over to reserve at 120 miles. That seems really low fuel mileage. Any thoughts to what might be going on? Do I just have to put more miles on and get the engine broken in to see better mileage?
Thanks, Ted |

Seems like pretty standard in that type of bike, I don't have a Brozz but mine's pretty darn similar. Mine is a 2.9gal tank, my light will come on somewhere 100-120mi, and I haven't pushed it much past 130mi but think it'd probably need the reserve at that point. Which is 60-65 mpg, given that I mostly ride street. Depending how you ride, with a 3gal tank on a 250cc bike, reserve on at 120mi seems reasonable.

Also longer distances at near top speed will suck gas quickest

Typical average fuel mileage for a carbureted cg250 dual sport is in the mid 60's. Just depends on how and where you ride it. I could eek 75mpg out of my first Hawk is I was just cruising along up to 55mph. That same bike could also average 55mpg if I was unfriendly to the throttle and ripping wide open at 70mph

I expect I get around 60 mph on my 2020 Brozz 250. But to be honest I haven't really tried for an accurate measurement. I don't worry too much about mileage which probably means I'm getting less than I could if I would try.

My Bashan Storm usually get about 60 mpg, but I ride it like 20 miles at 65 mph to get off road. My Magician almost always gets right at 67 mpg, but I seldom get it over 55 mph. Two things, the Storm is geared higher and has a larger main jet.
The Magician runs out of gas at about 110 miles, and the Bashan gets about 130.

I don't remember the exact mileage but it was poor on my brozz to until well broken in and then it improved greatly but never did match my honda's. It had plenty of range for my riding habits and never got low enough to worry me.
