Question about the enduros out there?

Hello all, since I'm flush with stimulus money I was AGAIN contemplating a new enduro this spring. The list of awesome bikes is long and extensive and I am keeping it to 2 major rules. The first is price-$1200 to $2000-range. Second is 197 to 229 cc's. This keeps it from buying the GROM style bikes and limits the insanity of PEACE raising the price of the BOZZ to $2500! My fav's at the moment is the TBR7, cheapest from $1429 from PowerRideOutlet, the 'Raven', which I think is just a BSR enforcer at $1500 from TX powersports, the Bashon Storm at $1670 from APMC, the Lifan X-Pect at $1900 and the Apollo RXB-250 at $1929. There is also the BMS CRP 250 enduro at TXPS for $1829 but it's the first I've seen it and it is not on either the ON-ROAD nor the OFF-ROAD EPA/NHSTA/FMVHSS lists (maybe Culcune can find it?) it is a really nice looking bike! The question is....

WHICH BIKE WOULD YOU CHOOSE!???

C0RRECTION: After 'Gwowzer' said he found the Brozz was selling for $1950, I swore in my minds eye that I saw $2499...after some investigating-if you go on 'Peacesports.com' it will say $2499 for the Brozz-when you go on 'Brozz250.com' you get the $1950...weird as it's the same place!

CORRECTION NUMERO DOS: The BMS CRP is on the list, it's with the Bashan's--Storm, Brozz, Shark, Enforcer...

Yeah, don't know where is saw that-$2500-but that's in the range! Question is-does that count shipping? I did include shipping in the above prices. I'll call them tomorrow. Thanks!

Thanks-that puts it on my list. However, the STORM seems identical except for the dash and is $280 cheaper...is the digital dash worth that much?

If you get the tbr7 from txpowersports they've been shipping with folding shift lever, led head light, led tail light, led turn signals, heavy duty gold 530 chain, metal engine guard, sealed battery, and they all come with a metal rack. The drawback, is the 19/17 rim sizes. They're good for the street but limits your tire choices for off road. And I think theyre still under 1500 bux.

What will your primary use for the Bike be? If you plan to do 75% street use and 25% trail, then the Brozz is your likely best bet.

If on the other hand you plan to do 75% trail and 25% street, the ORION RXB 250L simply can't be beat in the $2k price range.

An alternative to the Brozz is the LiFan Xpect 200 ,which offers EFI rather than a carb
and is of similar build quality. There is nothing "wrong" with the lower tier Bikes like the TBR7 or standard Hawks., provided you have the mechanical aptitude to address their known issues ,but if you have the $ to spend there really is a huge jump up in quality and durability by shopping the $2k tier Bikes .,that easily justifies the addtl expense.

It seems that where you buy it from can change the standard equipment it arrives with. Mine came with all the upgrades and was 50 bux less than the hawk from txpowersports, but others here have got them from other dealers that didn't come with any of the "extras" I listed earlier, and they were all 2021s.

I went through the same thought process. At the end of the day bought the TBR7 and upgraded the shock, aftermarket exhaust, carb, sprockets and chain. About $200 in upgrades at the end of the day to make it my own. Likely, I would have done the same things to the Brozz too, since the parts I replaced appear the same on that bike too.

The 2021 TBR7 I got came with the LED headlight, USB charger, 530 chain, wider 17" rear tire, folding shift lever, etc.

I am sure the Brozz and Storm are better in many areas, but to me they did not appear to be $600 better for my light trails needs. Their color schemes are cooler though. I am happy with my purchase. If I were going to step up to that next level in price, I likely would have purchased a lightly used higher end option from either Japanese brand or Enfield, but they are more complex machines to work on.

Peacesports.com has always had the Brozz listed at $2,499. Why I don't know why, but it's been that way since I first started looking 18 months ago.

I believe that $2499 model is listed for the one they sell at the dealersip pre-assembled. When you go to the shoppbrozz.com site you'll see the $1950 models that get shipped in the metal crate

My vote would be for the Lifan X-pect 200. I have owned the Brozz and it is a good bike. The X-pect has a very good build quality and with fuel injection, LED lighting (except head light), and lithium battery this bike a great value. I have un-crated 3 of these bikes and the packaging is such that there has been no damage to any of them. The down side, if it is a down side is drum brake in the rear and standard front fork.

I second this thinking. Big question is how much do you want or need to work on them? The mods are part of the fun and experience. At $2000 I'm looking for something more than I'm seeing and for me its hard to justify accepting a rear drum brake at that price regardless of any other perks. To each his own!
