Rotella oil 15W-40 T4 test against 5W-40 T6

Saw this test of Shell Rotella thought others might appreciate it. This guy does some good testing!

I watched that a while back. I think he should have compared like for like when it came to viscosities.

That would be a better comparison. He has another test in his series "will annual oil change damage your vehicle" where he tests Rotella against Delco diesel.

Just curious, how much do you guys pay for Rotella?

Last time I was at Walmart it was cheaper to buy 4 single quarts of Castrol motorcycle oil then a gallon of Rotella T4. Walmart is literally the only place that sells motorcycle oil other than dealerships here in Canada.

T4 gallon is about 11 bucks at walmart here, plus sales tax. The cheapest 4t motorcycle oil I can find works out to about the same price per quart, or maybe a hair more.

8,5 USD per liter. 1 galon is about 3,76 liters. I could get them cheaper, but i buy mostly at gas stations.

Scooter riders like to use Rotella oil 15W-40 because its good for the wet clutch. (better than 10w-40)

That was the first time I saw an oil racing video. I'm hooked now. I always had some doubt about synthetic oil causing seal leaks but that video cleared it up for me. 45 year old tractor with no seal leaks? Get outa here! Dam good seals!

I've probably watched all his videos, even the ones where he makes a cylinder head out of JB Weld or wood. Lots of useful info and thorough testing.
