Just my $.02

Good Luck, Mike

A think a replacement vehicle is on the short list. I haven't been back over to try anymore things.

Thats funny, I sell more parts for new dodges than any other car on the road. The vehicle I sell the least parts for are Subarus and Hondas....Fords are the hardest to figure out because they change a part every six months and chevys can't make a fuel pump or a cv shaft last to save a life. My best advice is to purchase an older vehicle with simple problems or buy A subaru or Honda. I might also go with only a newer chevy..They are fighting hard to get back in the quality fight.
Fixing Dodges kept me in grocery money for many years!

@300,000 I would do a complete "old-time" diagnostic: check compression and *timing chain* (if not a 4 cylinder) use an ohm meter on the wires, clean-up check coil packs/distributor (if a distributor check the advance mechanisms, both mechanical and vacuum, check vacuum advance for vacuum supply) look/check the EGR system, including function and gasket. The thing has to be reasonably healthy before you go sensor hunting.

I am thinking that the compression is probably getting low. It is a 4.0 v6. I am not sure if has a distributor or not.

Compression test? Those plugs are not easy to find. Can't I just pushed it off a cliff.

I believe it is soon destined for the craigslist. About the only thing it has going is a straight body.

Well I installed a used MAF sensor and the check engine light went out. Seems to be running pretty good too.

Also put in a used blower fan so she will have heat. Will see if we made and improvement. I was getting all set too run the diagnostics.
