250 Hawks on the road

Well I received my (2) Hawk 250's from Killer Motorsports and got them assembled this weekend. Although they didn't come with assembly manuals or parts list of any kind I was able to figure out how to get them together and running fairly easily. This is my first experience with a Chinese motor vehicle of any kind. I must say my first impressions are very favorable. For the money I paid ($2300 delivered for both) I could not be more pleased!!! I look forward to doing some riding and maybe a few mods (intake, carb and exhaust) This forum will be a great asset I am sure. Anyway I happy to be a part!

Nice bikes. Pretty cheap for 2 bikes. Couples guys at work crap on china bikes. And I give it back. I don't care who makes it as long it gets me back home and I have fun to riding. Those look fun!

Yeah my son was all over me about how bad they were going to be, until he saw them! Now they are not like his YZF 450 but I didn't expect them to be. And I didn't pay $8000 a piece for them either. Time will tell how well they hold up, but for now I am happy.

You should be happy! Those bikes look really sharp.

The tires are quite aggressive for a dual sport. Do they say DOT on them?

I'm not sure I will have to check that out.

I checked, and yes they are DOT approved.

Nice bikes! Great price!

This bike has me excited. I'm very close to pulling the trigger on one. Killer Motorsports has them on sale for $1299 shipped right now. They call them the RPS Hawk 250cc enduro.

There's a Denali 200xt on my local CL... but asking $1400. It really peaked my interest but I'd prefer the larger engine. That lead me to here and to the Hawk 250.

Does the Hawk 250 have the catalytic converter "egg" in the exhaust pipe?

Guess while I'm asking questions...

How well does the stock suspension on the Hawk 250 handle a "fullsized" adult? haha

A lot of small-to-mid size cc bikes have soft suspension for lighter riders... so when a 200#'er like me gets on, the suspension bottoms out over speed bumps and such.

Does the front end dive (squat) a bunch under hard braking?

Welcome; we are glad you joined us.

I really like the larger engine, perimeter frame, rear disc brake, headlight, and general appearance of these motorcycles.

In addition, you can't beat the delivered price.

I think these bikes are one of the best deals in the marketplace right now.

The brand of the tires is SBLONG? I've never heard of them but I had never heard of the Hawk before I bought it either. As for the question on the suspension. I am a 240 lbs and it still seems pretty stiff, so yes it is very capable of handling "full size" adults. I rode the bike to work today and I must admit the response has been quite positive. Killer Motorsports has been great to work with too.

There is not an egg type cat on the exhaust I am not sure if there is one included in the muffler assembly. I would think there is? Isn't it required now on bikes? there is little to no front end dive when getting on the front brakes. considerably less than my Vulcan 900 had anyway. I hope this helps.
