Ignition Coil Rain/Wet Question

Trying to narrow down why my bike (2020 TBR7) from time to time just dies or refuses to start after (or during) rain even happens in a light sprinkle, and occasionally after a wash.

This was an issue last year that resolved itself after sitting over night... Leading me to believe it's the ignition coil just getting wet. To clarify, this is the stock ignition coil still on the bike.

Has anyone else had this happen to them and if so, what steps can I take to avoid it from happening in the future apart from just not riding in the rain.

if all the other electrics function and its only a non ignition issue.

Then I'd agree with your prognosis.

Somewhere the ignition charge/spark is grounding out before it reaches the end of the spark plug.

Yeah. Any time all other electronics work but the bike just dies or won't start... So that's why I think it's Ignition Coil.

Annoyingly this isn't going to be something I can easily replicate because I'm not going to douse my bike in water just to see if it works or not lol...

I'll change out the Ignition Coil for a Nibbi one and see how it goes soon.

Or the kill switch on the handlebar, or one of the connectors for either behind the headlight. Far more likely things to get wet and short out than the coil, which is shrouded heavily by the fuel tank.
