I'm interested.

I spoke to my pastor last night about the next medical mission.

To be honest though I'd rather wait till next winter.

Fast Doc-

No worries, Our trip in september is sort of booked as far as hotels/hostels and then crashing on friends couches any ways. BUT, if we plan it a little in advanced, then I could get a few days off work and take another trip anytime you would like. The winter is actually a perfect time because it doesn't rain much and the weather is cooler. Either way, haiti offers some awesome motorcycling.

Thanks for posting the update, Benjamin. I think renting your Lifan is a good idea.

OK, I think I found the bike--look closely gentlemen and tell me its not the ....

These have been discussed widely on chinariders. Some of the photos from mefast that include the above show the bike with 17" off-road knobbies, but I think these are difficult to impossible to come by (the photos seem to be from TMEC's headquarters in China)

The business idea of bike rental is a very, very good idea! www.horizonsunlimited.com/hubb is an international site with people riding all over the world, including some obscure places. I am sure that with your photojournalism skills and a thread on Horizons, there could be a few people enticed to ride Haiti (as far as a business idea). If not a side business, there will be people needing bikes as you indicated, and a few from word of mouth who would be more than willing to rent your bike from you.

Motostar in the Philippines are OEM Distributor of Motorcycles and offer Zongshen and Kamex Dual Sports.

They recently dropped the 'Kamex Warrior 200' that they sold under 'MSX 200-II' Badge, and introduced the TRLAX 200 Enduro.

I notice from those photos that show TRLAX, so probably Motostar are badging that Zongshen Model version.

FYI the Motostar TRLAX 200 Enduro is selling for Php55K in Manila (Php59K on Installment Terms)

This looks very similar to the CORVEN TRIAX, except it has 21" Front and 18" Rear Wheels and Dual Sport Tires.

From the Motorstar site, the TRLAX 200 still comes with the 15" rear wheel, which has been my beef with the bike from the start.

I haven't seen one in the flesh recently, mostly the dealers stock the Moto X/R155s, if at all.
