Identifying Zongshen dirt bike

I'm a new member and i'm glad I found this forum to get help and learn about my recently purchased dirt bike. I bought a Zongshen 250 cc dirt bike on craigslist and the guy I bought it from was the second owner and didn't know anything about the bike. I bought it as a second bike to tinker with and learn but i'm having trouble identifying the actual model. He claims its a 2008 Zongshen 250 cc. its yellow with a kick start and electric start. It has a cable choke. The only marking i've been able to find is Zongshen on the engine. Any help would be much appreciated since I would like to buy some parts to get the bike in proper riding shape for spring. Thanks

sorry for the sideways picture. Not sure what happened there. Also, I realized after posting that I should have put this thread in the dirt bike section.

Welcome. You can start a new thread on you bike with questions. I really don't know the model of it. It has a honda style zongshen engine. Common. Parts are pretty easy to get.

Welcome!

X2 on starting a new thread in the Dirt Bike section. Please show us a close-up pic of the engine.

i think i got it

After hours of staring at my computer screen doing some research, I think I got it. I'm pretty sure it's a 2007/2008 Hummer 250cc with a Zongshen engine. I'm only basing that on pictures though. Can anyone recommend a good site to purchase a new carb for this bike. It seems the ones i've seen on ebay ship from China and the other sites i've found have bad reviews / scams.

BTW thanks for the welcome to the site guys. I'm sure i'll be needing some help here soon.

Here's a 30mm Mikuni for just under $34.00 US, and it is shipping from California: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mikuni-Carbu...6929eb&vxp=mtr I've purchased several from China and had terrific results, once they're jetted properly.

That could be a Hummer, but I'd need more pics. It doesn't look like you have the goofy shift linkage on yours, which is a good thing.

Welcome! Please start a new thread and show us some pics, so we can be sure of what you're asking about. Does your bike have a rear disc or drum brake?

Welcome to the forum.

It's a basic Hondoid, but Zong makes the best version of that engine IMHO.
