herro china riders

i got a 81 xr200r that im currently swapping in a lifan 163fml motor. wish i coulda gone honda, but costs too much, and this way i have electric start, 12v and lotsa wiring options

heres a pic

Welcome, Brother.

There is plenty of info for you in the Dual Sport forum! Maybe you can give us pointers on the mod, like bolt hole matching, and such.

Did you have to use Gorilla Glue on the engine bolts, or is it a better fit than on a Lifan frame?

Let us know what you want to add to the electrical system, and we may be able to give some advice :wink:

You also may want to stock-up on wire-ties, and rubber sheet, such as bituthene for roofing. That stuff makes good vibration dampers and rubber washers, as well as splash protection for your new electrical components.

I'm eager to hear what you have planned for the electrical system. :idea:

Nice swap, I doubt You will be sorry You used that motor they are pretty solid, Heck Honda had the Chinese building them anyways...Welcome aboard.

That motor'll treat you right. Not sure if it will be quite as zippy as the Honda engine, though.
