Female Newbie from the States...
Greetings to everyone!
Last week, I purchased my very first bike (for myself, I don't count the kids' as mine even though they owe me their first born children). I've done quite a bit of research and have managed to collect a dual-sport helmet to match my bike, gloves, and boots... and a few necessary accessories; suction cup pig-tails, custom license plate frame, etc. I've come to the point of stressing out about a jacket. There is a very limited selection of shopping in my area, unless you are a dirt racer, so I have ordered everything online with surprising success and great fit. I've never shopped online for anything because I like to see, touch and try stuff before I buy... and I like to have it RIGHT NOW! I've been considering a 4-season jacket, but can't seem to find many for women that will match the color scheme I have (orange is obviously NOT the new pink). I'm not opposed to sporting a men's jacket, but not sure if I should just get something for the summer to start with and go from there. |

Welcome!
Mrs. Weldangrind doesn't permit me to make fashion related decisions, so I'll just wish you good luck. Any chance we may see a pic of your bike? What did you buy? The suction cup pigtails image is very funny.

I got a 2008 Qlink XP 200.
I have pics from the dealer all the way home, but I will take some more in the morning of me on the thing. We are supposed to have sunshine tomorrow! I just got my permit today, so it has been sitting all alone in the dark, cold basement waiting for me. |

Welcome to the forum.
Congratulations on choosing, one of the best Chinabikes available. It is, as you probably know, functionally identical to the Suzuki DR200SE. It is even made by the same factory on the same assembly line. I like the suction cup pigtail idea. I will be looking into them to see if they will stick to my bald spot. :P

Yes, that's actually where I got my boots and gloves. I got my helmet from revzilla, and this morning finally committed to a jacket using the revzilla cash from my helmet to get $15 off the jacket.
I'm attempting to post pictures... so here goes... [img][/img] |

You chose the fastest colour.
It would be nice to have a truck like that to haul the bikes around. I covet your truck.

I'd love to say it's mine, but we borrowed it from my husband's work to get the bike home. He usually drives a small box truck, which is great also because it has a pull-out ramp. I'm thinking I might need to put a hitch on the ol' mini-van and get a trailer at some point.

This worked pretty well. Travelled from Nashville to Atlanta like this.
Tractor supply hitch haul. 4 rachet straps.

Great bikes! I love the orange Q's especially. It would be nice to have a truck that does not notice any particular load in the back.
