I can recommend Oxford Rainseal Handlebar muffs, assuming you don't have handguards on the bike and want cold weather protection. They are similar to Hippo Hands but more aerodynamic, less problem with the front of the muff pushing against the brake and clutch levers. They are a good fit on the RX3 and only cost $50.

I got mine when I got the Oxford Touring heated grips. They make a great combination. I am very impressed with these two Oxford products.

I have been using hippo hands for years of year round use on my ural along with heated grips and bark busters for riggidity. I had been riding my ural as primary vehicle for the past 4 years in temps as low as -23f wear only mechanics gloves. Snow rain whatever. Hippo hands are no longer being made so the oxfords mentioned above looks like a good alternative. My ride to work is about 25 miles each way at speeds between 45 - 60 mph.

Good to know that Hippos are still around. They're a good product, and large enough to fit over most handguards. In fact I think they work best with hand guards.

In comparison, the Oxfords are slimmer. I think they would be a good option if you don't have hand guards.

I do have hand guards, with spoilers on them, have run like that for years on different bikes....this is the first time I have had heated grips on any of my bikes.....don't know why I waited so long!

It is not hearty, it is a sickness I need to ride no matter what the weather. I actually like riding in the cold weather. Lets face it it is no different than snowmobiling.

I believe the Center for Disease Control has identified Snowmobiling as an acute but treatable illness. They list a number of approved treatment centers that are open October through March each year. All of them are located South of Interstate 40.

While you are at it, why not get a larger, custom windshield. You can also mount panels in front of the radiators for added wind protection, and install a larger trunk.
