new bike in my shed

picked up a peugeot. the frame is a bit small for me. replaced and greased the bearings and cables, added new seat, new pedals and a new rear sprocket (it had a tiny 6 speed for triathlon) it should be comfy to ride the 2 hour round trip to work, hilly terrain but pleasant. i need slowing down...i feel i should walk, but it would take too long

I had a sweet little Peugeot like that 25 years ago. I swapped the bars, levers and tires for hybrid MB stuff and then gave it to a cousin who needed it. It was a really quick hybrid when I was done with it.

That brings back memories!

When I was a kid and a bicycling fool that bike would have been the cat's meow. It is very cool.

You must be in excellent condition!

Late 80s, early 90s Miami Vice graphics, which says the Pug will have BSC threading instead of French threading. Which makes replacing and upgrading parts a breeze.

From experience, I can tell you it is more fun slamming my hand in a car door, repeatedly, than working on an old French bike. I got one.
