Those fat tires are what intrigues me about the SSR. I was always drawn to the Yamaha TW200 BECAUSE of its fat rear tire, and then SSR did away with its motard-ish wheel/tire option and only offered the SSR WITH TWO FAT TIRES! Reminds me of the Doublemint commercial slogan of the past; "Double your pleasure!" Don't know what it is about fat-tired enduros for me...

TTR250 .... "Has just been discontinued this year"

there is also the WR250F enduro model that was also
roadable here till the WR250R came along...

so theres 4 roadable 250 yams..

but none are cheap....
