2006 lifan gs sport Help!

Hi im new to the site and i have a 2006 lifan gs sport it has about 1200 miles on it and i cannot get any of the lights on the bike to work the head light blinker nothing the eletric start and horn do not work either. i can kick start the bike and it will run awsome. it runs great i just dont know why none of the electronics work on it. it is getting power to the battery and the battery is good any help would be awsome guy thanks

There is one main fuse on the positive lead close to the battery in an inline connertor usually. I bet that's it.

yea i found that one and nothing it is good. when i have the bike started i can turn the key off and it doesnt shut the bike off i have to flip the on off switch to get the bike to shut off dont know if that makes a diffrence?

I wonder if the keyswitch is bad. It should ground the CDI when turned to off and in the on supply power for the lights.

It sounds like somebody messed with it. Can you remove some body work and look for signs of tampering?

no i doesnt look like anyone messed with anything all the wires looked good and the bike doesnt look like its been tooken apart since it was first put together hmm idk its got me stumped

Ok, then Kato is most likely correct, in that the ignition switch has failed. It has four wires going to it, and they're in one common connector. It's very easy to unplug the switch and replace it.

I have the same switch on my ATV, and it drove me mad trying to troubleshoot it. I plugged a replacement switch in, and there was no difference, so I proceeded to pull the rest of the harness apart, trying to find a short or bad switch. It turns out that the new switch was wired differently from the old switch, despite the wire colours being the same. :roll:

If you remove your switch and show us a pic, we can probably show you how to test it. Make sure we can see the wire colours.
