The mounting hardware isn't bad. It came with two steel plates to go underneath the existing rack and 1" washers for inside the case, connected with 3/8"-2" bolts.

I do really like the size of the side cases on the rx3.

I also like the side panniers of the RX3.

My Garage Pro Travel Trunk locks to a steel mounting plate which is attached to the luggage rack. I can unlock the case and remove it when I reach my destination.

I'm thinking I might trade the stock trunk on the RX3 for a Garage Pro (GP) trunk, since the GP Trunk is larger, and can easily be installed and removed as I wish.

I'm don't plan to change anything until I ride the bike for a thousand miles or so. However, I really do like the Garage Pro Travel Trunk.

Aftermarket Trunk

That mounting system looks solid. Being able to take the case off and leave the mount is a huge plus.

+1 Having at least one case that can be removed and taken with you is a big plus. In addition, it looks like it would hold a helmet.

Indeed, this mounting system is very solid. I have this system mounted on both my Zongshen ZS200GY-2, and my Honda XR650L. I have taken many, multi-day trips over rugged roads with this travel trunk, and it has not failed me. Whether camping, or heading into a motel, it's very nice to unlock the travel trunk, and remove it from the motorcycle.

The large travel trunk will hold many helmets, but it won't necessarily hold every helmet. The large trunk does hold my GMax, G27S, dual sport helmet.

The French have discovered the Zongshen RX3. However, the bike is not currently scheduled to appear in France.

The Italians have noticed the RX3 as well. However, no one is currently importing the bike to Italy.

In addition to Derco Motos, two other dealers are selling the Zongshen RX3 in Chile.

Zongshen has a factory in Brasil, and works with its partner Kasinksi in that country. In July of 2014, a Brazilian website speculated the Zongshen RX3 might arrive in Brazil in 2015.

I haven't posted this video before in this thread, but I think it should be included. Joe Berk of CSC Motorcycles shows the main features of the Zongshen RX3. Please note, the early adopter price he quotes has long expired.

ADV Pulse magazine posted this video today, accompanied by a short article describing their recent, full day of test riding the Zongshen RX3.

I think I read somewhere that Motorcycle.com was showing up at the CSC facility in Azusa. If true, I'm sure those fellows will give the bike a very good test. Can someone verify that information?

Over on the CSC blog, Joe remarked about the ride with Motorcycle.com. that happened yesterday. Looking forward to some test rides on ChinaRider.
