Okay, I'm not trying to pick sides.

I'm sure the OP is now aware of all the different variables involved. I'm also sure many RX3 owners can give him the data he has requested.

If anyone wants to start a new thread on this topic, with different measurement criteria, he is certainly free to do so.

97 @9200, as per previous gps top speed thread.

No harm for short periods.

my husband claimed 80mph indicated on my bike with the stock sprocket and stock front tire. that was on a slight downhill incline, I did not ask for RPM. I personally have not checked yet for top speed :P

91 mph @ 9,200 rpm using the stock 14/44 gears. (I know you're not looking for GPS speed, but for sake of interest, my GPS measured 81.3 mph peak for my ride today, but I've achieved slightly higher but did not observe indicated MPH and RPM.)

The wind condition is very important.
Without wind I got 135 km/h (84mph) several times in upright position.
With some wind from the back I reached 140 km/h.
These values are from GPS while the speedometer have an optimism of 19% with the stock sprockets and 18" front wheel.
