As long as your oil has the JASO-MA designation, you're good to go.

I don't have much trouble finding neutral with the engine running. Perhaps riding the bike for over 13,000 miles has helped. However, I can testify that Mobil Delvac 1300, motor oil allows the bike to find neutral pretty easily.
