With 1 tooth lower engine sprocket sitting upright

Trying to keep this simple.No GPS.
As the title states so we can compare apples to apples.
RPM not important.Indicate stock or 1 tooth lower engine sprocket.

This brings up an interesting side point; perhaps the tach is also inaccurate. Not sure how one would go about proving or disproving that theory.

It's a comparison,all RX3's have the same speedo error.
Remember the 1st rule...keep it simple.

Sorry for the bubble burst, but depending on 18 or 19" front wheel and depending on tires run, not all RX3's have the same indicated speedo error.
Would be better to ask for actual, as most now run a GPS

I want to see how my 88 mph stacks up to the rest.
And yes only 18" wheels.

I am more concerned with every day facts like 0-60 mph and what is the real cruising speed say if one was to do highway driving.

All this would depend on rider weight, wind conditions, road conditions, gearing as already mentioned, tires, etc. just too many variables.

Top end on a 250cc motorcycle I have to ask why is this a concern?
Please do not take it the wrong way inroads just curious why you are coming so closing to blowing your engine @10,000 rpm on a 9,000 rpm redline

I have an idea,why don't you start your own thread and ask it the way you feel is correct.
In the meantime this is my thread and this is the way I want to conduct this test.
And it is quite ok to top your bike out WFO.

I am trying to keep this simple but people won't let me.

Calm down, we have a nice friendly group here.

The redline for the NC250 engine must certainly be higher than 9,000 rpms. I wouldn't trust the red numbers on the tachometer. I believe the engine in the Yamaha TW200 has a redline of 10,000 rpms, and the NC250 engine is certainly designed to rev higher.

I also got an indicated top speed of 88 mph with the stock, 14T/44T sprocket combination. I didn't note the engine rpms at the time.

What tires on those 18" wheels?

See? It really isn't as simple as you are trying to make it out to be.

So you want feedback only from 18" fronts....with the same tires as you.

And no GPS? You Sir are in the minority with that one...especially on a dual sport
