I think I have mine set at about 1/8"-1/4". Basically, it's as little as possible without the clutch slipping under hard acceleration. Even my RX3's don't like to find neutral when hot and running at a stop. Q slips right in no problem. I'm just hoping it cleans up with miles.

I suspect I get a lot of practice as I can feel it through my foot, but you inevitably get good at something if you spend an hour a day at it...

I'll be interested to see what it's like when summer gets to full bore and I'm in traffic. Even my Ninja's buttery smooth shifting starts to get lumpy in the heat.

On page 32 of the manual it says to adjust the cable slack with the engine‐mounted adjusters until there is approximately 3 mm of slack on the handlebar clutch lever. This is what I went by when I adjusted my clutch. Once I set it to 3 mm slack in the cable I fine tuned it with the barrel adjuster with the engine warm until it would slip in an out of neutral easily. It took a little fiddling but I haven't had any issues finding neutral since.

Interesting, I've never needed to adjust my clutch yet so I guess mine must be disengaging properly for now. I will keep that in mind if neutral becomes elusive.

I also had trouble finding neutral on the Hawk. Finally I tightened the clutch cable to the point of zero free play and neutral selection is greatly improved. My guess is that the collection of chinese parts don't interact as they should and the clutch lever on the engine case is not being rotated quite enough, or slightly less than the ideal amount. "Over Tightening" the clutch cable seems to cure this issue. Of course be aware that clutch slippage should be avoided!!!

mine dried out sitting for 3 months. I tried topping it off and putting on the charger over night but it cooked out a lot of the water. I may give it another try but in the mean time I picked up a sealed glass mat battery to use instead.

Fired my TT up yesterday. It was bogging when giving higher throttle and died whenever I tried to take it off half choke. Rode it to gas station and put new gas in it and drained the old gas out of the float bowl. I Might try adding some sea foam directly to the bowl if problem persists. Hopefully it was just bad gas but I have doubts. Bike would only run with choke on even after it was warmed up but the temperature was only barely above freezing. It supposed to be nicer tomorrow so hopefully I can get her going. She's parked in a heated garage now so hopefully she will run without the choke tomorrow. She ran so wonderfully before I parked her for the winter.

I feel like an idiot. I was operating the choke backwards. No wonder the bike kept dieing when I tried to take it off half choke! Bike starts and runs as good as new.
