An ATV ride along the Snake River in Washington

Spud's recent Zong pics by The Snake inspired me...

Wednesdays I usually work a half day (6 hours....) so I got to go for an ATV ride with my buddy Ron. He's on his Honda 250, I'm on the Kawasaki 250. This area is 15 miles from my home so we needed to trailer the units there, but it's a real short and pretty ride. Plenty of trails along the water, and up into the hills. Beautiful views of the Tri-Cities and the water, vineyards, orchards, and the general desert area.

Good friends, fun toys, and the health and the freedom to enjoy them. Thank you Lord for all my countless blessings.

Thanks for posting the photos, Doc! I lived just south of you, in Hermiston, Oregon, for two years. Looking at your photographs brings back fond memories.

Mid 60's. Warm enough to be comfortable but not too warm to wear a good riding jacket. Amazingly, no wind which is prominent here in the springtime.

Spud, wish I knew you when you were more local, we'd have had fun!

Thank you, Doc; the feeling is mutual. I hope we get a chance to ride together, either in the Tri-Cities, or in Idaho.

gotta love the bayou, very good utility atv's.. friend of mine got her and her gf new bayou 220's a few years ago before i met them. they are the people who got me into atv's.. she uses hers to drive her jet skii's 1/4 to 1/2 mile through their neighbore hood to the lake and launch them

I really like that little 250. It suits my needs excellently, and had required no repair work at all.

my friends are 220's i think. they are maybe 3 years old and a blast to ride.. it was a night and day difference when i got my atv since it is a sport and bayou's are utility quads. took me awhile to get adjusted the handling of them, manly it was on the bayou to do doughnuts you had to lean way over the bars, and then on mine you just scoot ur butt out to the side a little and bam the rear end breaks loose
