Ramblin' down to Mississippi...
I decided to make a day-trip and see the parental units (my mom and mom-in-law).
Rode down the Natchez Trace and remembered to take the camera this time... :08: Starting out in the AM, 200 miles to go... The first 15 miles closely follows the original route, very curvy. I couldn't get a pic of the "good" curves, they're blocked by the trees. No hairpins, but close. This is were I've been... This is where I'm going...quite a bit further down the road. The entire route down to Tupelo looks like these 2 pics, lots of gentle curves with an occasional "bend it over" thrown in... Past Tupelo, the country flattens out and there are long, straight stretches. Gotta do the whole thing one of these days... Misty Tennessee mornings... A Traveller can span 2 states at one time...(no, that's not my puddle on the ground) Mississippi doesn't rate a BIG sign... :P Ubiquitous Indian mounds on the way back north. Overlook outside of Tupelo, MS on the way back home to Nashville. 450 miles on the clock. Wonderful time. Good to see the family, it had been too long. Bill |

I'm looking at those stunning photos and wondering, who cuts all that grass? Wow. Thanks Bill.

Guys on air-conditioned tractors, pulling 10ft bushogs. They were out yesterday, I'm so used to seeing them, didn't think to snap a pic. Bill |
