Tons of people moving from the rockies to here as the cost of housing is half or less. California transplants have made it unafordable for the average person. I have a friend leaving for here Monday from Kalispell, Montana. He bought a BEAUTIFUL home here on a couple acres adjoining 3,000 acres of state land for 200K. He would have paid 500K or more in Montana for a comparable house. Colorado is the same from what i hear.

Also saw this on a Montana page recently....

"My husband and I are both 4th generation Montanans and left for Iowa in September so that we could have a better and more affordable life. We miss the mountains, family and friends, but we have a quality life here that we could have never attained in MT."
