Air Intake

Hello all,

As you all know. The CSC TT250 air filter the the box under the seat.

Is it possible to run air filter outside? Something like a 45° elbow with a filter attached.

Any recommendations?

Thanks All

A pod filter is pretty common, and come in a few different styles, some require oil, some not. I am running the common Nibbi on both my Chinese enduro bikes. If you have a stock carb ,or VM26 clone you probably need a 42mm filter https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B09W2...b_b_asin_image
If you have a Nibbi PE28FL it takes a 48mm. If you do buy one measure to be sure.

So, I just got the Air Intake in. Sucks that you can't put the side panel back on because its in the way.

I think I'm going to remove the whole airbox. The hose that go from the airbox to the engine, can I just cut them so there short and leave them attached to the engine? I'm assuming it's just venting air for emissions.

I have the side panels in place, and untrimmed on both my TBR7, and Hawk using the Nibbi pods. If you have the 45 degree one, then you should probably be able to rotate it inward, and get clearance for the side covers.

If your bike is like a lot of these type bikes, then you will be making a mistake in removing the airbox, because it also serves as an inner fender, and most that do remove them have to put something in place to keep mud out.

I left the Airbox in place. With the angled filter everything will fit under the side cover with no mods to plastic.

Thanks all,

I'll mess around with it some more to see if I can get it to fit and put the plastic back on.

This is my Hawk 250. I was able to put the pod filter on, retain the airbox and the side cover.

TBR7 owner weighing in, I did a foam intake(https://mymotorcycleblog.com/tbr7-ha...d-replacement/) which was really big, then when I upgraded to a nibbi carb went with a cone filter( https://mymotorcycleblog.com/nibbi-c...allation-tbr7/ )

I like the cone since it's like my K&N's as far as cleaning and care.

hth,

If I were to do this air filter on my TT250, what is the benefit? I like how it looks, and the price can't be beat, and I'm always looking to do minor upgrades, but don't want to open a can of worms if it's unnecessary. The stock carb is still in there. I've got it in my amazon cart and thought I'd do a little more investigation before buying it.
