Doh! new tbr7 carb problems

put a new keihin pz30 on it .it only runs with a 45 / 115 jets ,three turns out, and third slot down on the needle. Now Im at 700 ft, any thoughts ??

Need a bit more than that, but I can tell you that 3 turns out on a 45 pilot is definitely not right. Have you checked the float height? Page 3 on this PDF, the PZ26 example of float height also applies to the PZ30's on our bikes. http://www.ccwthariders.com/uploads/...ing_manual.pdf

Assuming float height is set correctly, the next thing I would check for is that you don't have a vacuum leak. That would play hell with all of the mixture settings.

Also, what mods, if any on the bike?

Dan correct me if I'm out of touch but my hawk was shipped with tight valves and that needs ro be checked first, right?

I have two hawks both run 40 / 110 , two turns and two washers . maybe a little lean . ive had this tbr7 for a month ,still doesn't run.
it can with a broken primary jet. had to buy a new carb .

Ok I checked the float level .good. sprayed it down , no vac leak. The only mod is cat removed. Ok 45 / 110 jets ,third slot on needle . will not run in the middle ..

Ok im going with 40 /110 adjust the needle up to the forth slot . Starting there again. I took the carb all apart and cleaned .Hope this works
