Maybe ultrasonic carb or let it all soak, the jets in new carbs are random I have found.

Also sometimes they list a carb for a bike but it differs like I saw on amazon the throttle is on the other side, I have that carb and had to hunt another cable to make it work.

It arrives tomorrow. Interesting it shipped just 20 miles from me. We'll see.

The carbs are identical. Both made by TK with one exception, the engine intake port side is 2mm larger on the new one. So now I either machine out the old rubber manifold , look for a proper manifold , or see if I can use the internals of the new carb to rebuild the old.

I bought a 30mm intake manifold. Little bit of a bear due to the angle being slightly wrong on the new intake. After some minor jet adjustments it runs great. Test ride, nice power! No anomalies!

Thanks for adding this! This carb should be a good replacement for the TK MV30 on my SSR when the time comes. Oh and Amazon has a jet kit for this carb.

When I got my SSR it drove me nuts that I couldn't find the idle mixture screw on the TK carb. I have attached a photo that shows where it's hiding and how to access it.
