aransas national wildlife refuge

took a ride out to the refuge on saturday. 54 degrees so put on the long handles and the hood and zipped in the liner.
was cool but warmed up by the time i arrived. i took a couple of detours and kinda found a back way in thru fields and flood way levees . got lost a couple of times but figured it out. had a ball and slung some mud too.

I would be impressed just with the gator! I love looking at those things for some reason. We just have rattlesnakes around here which I am sure you have plenty of. I only see them at work; the inmates seem to find them all the time.

I love your 'Suzuki'

Those gators seem like luggage with claws

Y'all need to get you some cats, they absolutely hate rattlesnakes. Anyone seen a cat hit by a rattler, they swell up awful but if they survive you won't have any more snakes around. I have to dispatch one around the neighborhood every now and again with the 12 Gage. I hate shooting or running over snakes since they keep the field mice down. But don't like rattlers at my doorstep. I think the rattlers have learned to quit rattling so much any more so they can hide from the wild hogs.

I asked a Ranger if they had strict guided service road tours, he looked at me like I was an alien.

That's a sharp looking fuel tank. It looks vaguely familiar... I was thinking about the alignment of your seat to the back of the tank the other day, and came up with something. Have you thought about using a heat gun on the plastic seat pan to soften it up a bit, then kind of form it into place against the tank? That might close up that gap and clean up the lines a bit. It's still a really sharp build, and I'm really glad it worked out for you. Keep the ride reports coming!

Haven't had a min to think about it but good idea and I do have a heat gun (well used tool over the years). If I get the notion I will try it. Too busy fixing every one else's messes in san antonio

Yeah, picked it up from some Internet dude, probably stolen

Sounds like a fun ride. I live near the Anhuac wildlife refuge. I should take a ride there before the bugs are back en masse.

Wheelbender6...And while your at it take your hawk and challenge this insane steep monster . This scared the crap out of me when I was a kid. Is there anything known as bridge ptsd? Rainbow Bridge near port Arthur texas. I read it was built back in the 30's to a height standard to allow a dirigible strapped to a battleship to pass underneath.
