Gearbox Oil on a Tao Rhino 250

Hi:

Is gearbox oil shared with the oil for the motor on a Tao Rhino 250 ? I can't seem to find the drain plug for it.

Thanks

Mark

Yes. 10w30, 40 whatever you would run for the engine, as it's the same.

Drain it, clean the screen, dump in a quart, ride. Eazy peazy.

it is best to use.... 15W - 45 DIESEL MOTOR OIL.... thicker.. and better cooling and lub ... for spring to fall... winter is a different oil... depends where you live for the cold...

So is there a separate drain plug for the gearbox ? I see the filler hole on the left side lower cover ?

It doesn't have a separate gearbox,it's all together, engine oil is the gearbox oil also.Make sure you use the right oil compatible with the clutch.Probably just regular auto oil at the required weight,I don't know exactly because I have a Bull 200 with a CVT transmission which is separate from the engine and requires 2 types of oil,one for the engine and one for the transmission.
