First time Taotao owner. I have some questions

Hey there. I picked up a TForce for the kiddo and she loves it! I have a couple questions about it though:

How do I tell what the engine displacement is? I see info showing both 110cc and 124cc. Is there something I can look at to see what's actually installed?

I have some pretty pronounced popping in the rear end. It still happens with the chain off the sprocket so it's not that. Any suggestions where to look next?

I want to install a magnetic drain plug but I can't find the size/thread pitch. I picked one up that's 12mmx1.5 but it's too big. Any inputs?

I'm sure I'll have more. Thanks in advance.

Ok....just double checked and I actually ordered a 14mmx1.5 . That probably answers that question.

What does the engine look like ?there are numbers on them but with no idea what it looks like we can’t be any help .

Looking at the bottom left side of the case, you're looking for an FMI or FMH with a few numbers before that. Also, you can check on the cylinder jug. It sometimes will say "107cc" or "124cc" or something along those lines. VIN plates will also list the displacement of the engine as well.

Also regarding the popping, I lifted the brake caliper off and it still popped. I broke the right rear axle nuts loose (the big one with the jam nut) just to investigate. As soon as they were a bit loose the popping stoped. I torqued them down again and the popping did not return. So it's fixed but it's still a mystery what the cause was.

The H in the engine code designates 110cc engine class. "I" is 125cc. The 52 is the bore size, the 1 is the amount of cylinders,M means motorcycle,TZ is the manufacturer etc.

Your info conflicts with this tag on the front of the frame. Any idea why?

The engine numbers are not always correct. My Taotao ATA250D engine number was 171FMM which would be 71mm bore but I measured it at 63mm.

Because you are dealing with china. Honesty is not a virtue in their culture. You really don't know what you have until you crack it open and measure it. Every single chinese vehicle I have owned has been misrepresented on engine size. Pocket bikes, pitbikes, motorized bicycle engines. Every one of them.
