Motor oil went place

We poured .75 of a qt. Of oil in the top timing inspection hole that you remove with a flat tip screw driver on upper left side of motor. Oil came out somewhere. What should we do.

So far we just let it drip. Changed the oil and filled in the proper place and it will start. Wondering if we should do anything else.

You might have to remove that cover and clean it up. That means removing the rotor. The oil can be put in through the top of the head if you must (slow), but the oil usually goes in at the oil check port by the clutch cover.

On the other hand, it might still charge OK, and slowly drain out over time.
