if you remove the tie rods and the wheels are still really stiff to turn. the problem is in the steering knuckle where it bolts to the arms.


wng, you should really post some part numbers and maybe a slightly more detailed how to for the steering stem. thats something i deff would want to do this winter.

I have a real sneaking suspicion that it is something bound up in that pillow block assembly up top, just haven't had a chance to rip it apart yet. The shocks are hugely better than the originals though... Why the heck don't they put the Mikuni carb and nitro shocks on at the factory rather than making everybody buy them separately? Wait... Don't answer that $$$

Part numbers? Non-existant. I will be happy to photo-document the process when TurboT and I work on his quad, unless Stew beats me to it.

Lol! No worries there, my garage isn't heated (well it is, but I don't run the heater... Cool garage but a long story) so I probably wont be ripping into it anytime soon. Wish I had patio doors going into my basement
