It had to happen!

You can now purchase a Hawk from Walmart! Walmart isn’t actually carrying the Hawk in their stores. You can order it on their website, but it is sold and shipped by TX Powersports! Apparently, Manny struck a deal with the big box store! Walmart will take anything back. I wonder how that will work out?

Interesting! That would certainly introduce some accountability.

this is interesting.
wonder how much walmart charges them to sell each one.
find that out and offer txpwrsprt that much less buying direct.....
well, if you actually want to risk buying from them.
hit or miss. all good if a hit, but if get a dudd, then good luck getting tx to work with you.
i dont see wallyworld offering accountability other than feedback, they prob
have disclaimer giving all accountability to the third party sellers....

I don't see it lasting very long. Enough complaints filed through WalMart.com and they will lose their listing, and I don't see that taking very long.

Walmart also lists the replacement aftermarket front rotor for an RX3. It seems they're really giving it a go with competing with Amazon, et al.

I was dealing with a cheap cell phone at customer service a few months ago, and next to me, a guy was trying to bring back a circular saw that he claimed his son had sent him for Christmas. He told the customer service rep that his son sent it and he did not need it (but it had obviously been opened which was obvious by the packing tape resealing the box). The customer service rep explained that online deals are like Amazon and must be sent back to the vendor. The guy was getting madder and madder (or at least putting on a show), but once the manager came by to help the worker, they stuck to their guns, and told the guy he had to send it back to the vendor. I doubt they will take back Hawks at a store.

I just wrote about an experience I witnessed going on with a circular saw before reading your post. I am near positive Wal Mart will not take these back or deal with warranty issues.

I seen that too when I was researching these bikes before I decided on my TT250. I really considered ordering one through Walmart too, but was horrified about getting it registered in New York State. Thought the same thing about the return policy though, just didn't want to have to go through the hassel of returning a motorcycle if I couldn't get it registered.

When I was down in Juarez Mexico a year back we stopped at Walmart and they had bikes for sale. At the time I was wondering how could I get one back to Texas haha

All my online Walmart orders get returned online like Amazon. Print the label, drop it off.
Whatever I buy at my store, they'll take back, opened up with no receipt. Never had a problem. Bikes on the other hand........though I've not had any luck with any online vendor on post-sales support other than CSC.

They are competing with the retailer who sell Italika. I forget the name of the department store that sells Italika bikes, but that is my guess as to why Wal Mart has gotten into the retail cheap bike market in Mexico.

I have seen Italika bikes with Arizona plates in Yuma, AZ, so there must be a way to get them registered in the U.S.

Must be area dependent. The Walmart in Mazatlan sells Italika. There's another store (Elektra ??) in Cabo San Lucas that sells Italika but the Walmart in Cabo doesn't.

Reminds me of when Sams Club was selling Vespas a few years ago.
