baja 90

just got this in a trade for my grandson....it was ran without air filter for who knows how long and it smokes bad!!....here is my question....will a 110cc cylinder/piston kit work with a 90cc head?

Welcome!

It's my belief that the 90cc and 110cc share the same head, just like they share the same stroke. Only the bore is different. You might need to stick larger jets in the carb to feed it, but it should otherwise be a bolt-together deal.

Make sure you replace the valve stem seals while you have the head off. Totally worth it.

www.dratv.com has alot of good info on the horizontal clones too.

I believe you should be fine with the 110 cylinder. I had a baja 90 and it was a good little bike.

motor swap

pick yourself up a new motor ,,, they are cheap.. and no work.. I would think about $150.00 - $200.00 max... save alot of time & problems.. what do you think you willl have into the motor for parts and gaskets??? sure it is fun to do the work and learn.. but it is better to just swap it.. the 110 cc motor is so cheap now adays.

Just looked up the cost for a new 110 cc motor shipped to most places.. $175.00.. you supply carb & starter .. and RIDE
