Keeway TX 125 speedo problems

Hi all,

Have any of you come across a problem with a dead speedo? My son has bought a TX125 second hand and his is broken.

The TX125 dashboard has an analog speedometer with a digital odometer and LED indicator lights. Most of the idiot lights work so there's power going to the PCB but the speedo and odometer are dead in the water. I did buy a second-hand sender unit, the bit that attaches to the front wheel, but that made no difference (although the replacement one might be broken, but how do I tell?)

Wondered if anyone had come across this problem and found a solution, or hand some useful suggestions.

Am I correct in thinking this has a mechanically driven speedo?..ARH

They're electrical and work off a sending unit. You can find the replacement speedos and sending units on Aliexpress.

Or get said USB charger above, buy a Ram Mount, and rock a GPS Speedometer app from your cell phone. I have a friend who does that on his old bike lol.

Thanks all for your responses. I do like the look of some of the after-market speedos but as I want to sell this onwards in a year or two I will go with JerryHawk250's links to the genuine Keeway replacements.

That said, if money is tight then the next person that asks this question could do well by going for:

for the dashboard functions and replacing the headlamp with something else that does not have the shell for the Keeway speedo unit to fit in to.
