2017 hawk 250 head gasket leaking

Went to adjust the valves this morning and discovered that the front half of my engine on the cooling fins in line with the head gasket are coated with unburned fuel. Does anybody know the torque rating for the head bolts I'm wondering if maybe one of them has come loose with the vibration. The bike only has 900 miles on it so it should not be leaking.

Minor correction I misspoke myself it is actually oil coating the front part of the engine near where the head gasket is.

Torque for the head bolts is around 24 to 28ft-lbs. I have mine torqued to 28. Mine atarted to do the same thing and i found 2 were loose. Mine stopped seeping after i re-torqued the head bolts. Make sure to do a criss cross pattern.

It is NOT a hard job..........if you are handy with tool, you will have the head off in less than an hour, new gaskets on amazon or ebay. Just search cg250 headgasket. I replace mine when I put the updated CSC TT250 head on mine. Hasn't leaked ever since.

I’ve always sprayed my head gaskets with this stuff. I’ve never had problems after. It can make a bad gasket work again.

You’ll have to readjust/check your values after everything goes back together.
